Found a new spot!

We like to visit new parks! The girls find it fascinating to be able to explore a new place and I kinda like the chance to take some test shots and see if the light is sweet! This spot wasn't too far from home and the girls had a blast. There was a lake with little tadpoles and baby frogs and of course Nana loved playing with those. Gigi...not so much! :) Mia is at such a delicious age to photograph that the camera never tires of her...

We have how much time?

Mom and I thought we had this session all planned out, except for one small detail: the time Vizcaya closed. When we got there, we only had 1 hour to do this shoot. Aaaaahhh! But... it was done and I think we got some great shots. I just love the colors and the pettis in these.

Tiny Sleepy Baby...

Baby "A" was so well-behaved for us! He did a whole lot of sleeping despite all my crazy posing, poor baby. Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE photographing newborns? He was definitely no exception. Congratulations to your lovely family for this wonderful new addition! It was a pleasure photographing him...

On With the Show...

Nana was born to perform! Just give her a mic and watch her go! Her ballet pictures were yesterday and since I had to get her all dolled up for those, I decided to take my own here in my studio. Right away she grabbed the nearest light stand and started her own performance! We can't wait until her recital!

To celebrate Spring and new beginnings (and because I thought it was a really cool idea!), I am hosting a "Diva For a Day" contest!

The Grand Prize winner will receive:

a makeup session with a professional makeup artist

The RULES are:

- open to new clients only. We want fresh faces!!!
- open to high school students only. You MUST be enrolled in the 2008-2009 school year.
- you and/or your parent must sign the model release.
- you must submit your entry by June 5, 2009 11:59 PM.
- your entry must include a NON-PROFESSIONAL picture of yourself and a blurb between 50- 150 words. Tell me what makes you unique, what sets you apart from the crowd. Have fun with it! This isn't a college application!
- entries without photos or essays will be disqualified.
-you CAN enter someone other than yourself so long as she meets contest criteria.
- voting will take place beginning June 6th for a 1 week period and is open to the general public. Finalists will be voted on by a panel of professional photographers.
- session will take place in late June.
- ALL entrants will receive 25% off a studio or location fee and free 5x7 just for entering!

Oh These Are The Days...

To be young again. Photographing these beautiful girls was like a breath of fresh air. They are so much fun to be around. Reminded me of my younger days when life was so simple. Here is my rock star again getting ready for her big night. She IS stunning isn't she?
